SPORTSMEN FOR DUNLAP

Dear Mainers of the 2nd District,

We are writing to support Matt Dunlap in his race for  Maine’s 2nd Congressional District’s seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and to encourage our fellow sportsmen and women to do the same.

We can count on Matt to advocate for Maine’s sportsmen and women in Washington because he has spent so many years doing it already. Over the decades he fought to create lifetime licenses as the chair of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee, was a critical part to the founding of the Maine Youth Fish and Game Association, and helped SAM right its financial ship as its Executive Director.  We have witnessed him work on behalf of our community over the years first hand, and could not ask for a better champion.

Matt has been hunting in Maine’s woods and fishing in its waters for decades. He cares so much and has fought so hard because he is one of us. We’ve spent endless hours talking, hunting, and fishing with him and know that he is a sportsman through and through. He is so committed to our community that he has written a column for SAM’s newsletter and for the Northwoods Sporting Journal for years and possesses detailed, passionate opinions on issues as varied as smelt management, wintering habitat, and tick control.

We know without a shred of doubt that Matt will be a champion for the people of Maine in Washington, and that we can count on him to advocate on the side of sportsmen and women. If you enjoy hunting, fishing, or any other aspect of the outdoor heritage in Maine, vote Matt Dunlap this November, because he will fight for you.

Sincerely,
